Had such an awesome time discovering my first Love last week! Have you ever had a taste of something, you had doubts actually existed? What about meeting people you thought were too good to be true, but only to find out that they are the genuine article? Yeah? We get jaded sometimes, don’t we? We […]

“Our only ground of fellowship is CHRIST and our fellowship must be with all believers.”
Heard a sermon about the question “who is my neighbour?” the other day and the speaker talked about how we want to choose who we love and exclude certain other peoples due to our preferences. We do that don’t we? We like certain people and dislike others, Watchman Nee says something to the effect that we are likely to find an affinity with that which we agree with as opposed to what we disagree with. This is the same with people, we want to associate with those with whom we have similar belief structures, revelations and what have you.
But, if you think about it as brothers and sisters in the Lord, we are one. We are one because we belong to one body, Christ’s, regardless of what denomination, doctrine or revelation we hold to. We belong to the body of Christ and our union with each other has everything to do with the One who has made His home within us, the One, who calls us by His name and not so much about all the gifts He has so lavishly given us.
I hate that we have denominations, divisions and differing doctrines that keep us as members of the Body apart, but I also know that what holds us together is more potent, powerful and poignant than the things in this physical world that tell us what we are not as Christ’s body.
The Love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, His Love, not a man-made, imperfect, short-lived kind of love, but His own, inexhaustible, inexpungible and indissoluble LOVE, this LOVE, makes ALL things possible and one of these things is loving one another, in the words of 1 John 3:18 , “not [merely] loving with words or tongue but with actions and in truth,” not because of doctrine, denomination or revelation and even preference, but because of Jesus Christ.

“Watchman Nee: A man sent from God”
Who would have thought that a man, who lived so many decades ago and in so far away a place from where I currently live, would leave such a legacy? A legacy wherein-which Saints the world over, have been brought revelation after revelation due to the out-working of the Holy Spirit in this one man’s life.
I never thought that I would be one of those Saints, I didn’t see it coming at all. I thank God for the gifts and revelations He gave to Watchman Nee and the good works and purposes He had predestined for Watchman Nee to walk in before the formation of the world. Sometimes there is no one to teach us, it seems and we plead with the Lord, asking that He would send an Apostle Paul or a Bobbie Houston our way, someone who can be teach and shepherd us as we journey home.
For me, Watchman Nee is one example of a person God has sent my way, a man who spent the last 20 years of his life in confinement due to his stand for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, a man who died proclaiming the very Good news, to those who cursed him and desired nothing but his death, a man, who saw and knew the heart of God and desired that we, the Saints would see and know His heart too.
I really appreciate men and women like Watchman Nee, Saints, who knew their God and knew into Whose hands they had entrusted their lives. I’m reminded of how the Amplified bible, amplifies the phrase faith in Jesus Christ, saying that it is “the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness.” Isn’t that beautiful? That is what each and every single person who comes to taste, see and know the Lord Jesus will experience, that is what Saints of old experienced for: He is the same, yesterday, today and forever, He was dead but now He is alive forevermore, enthroned and exalted at the right hand of the Father!

“The leading of the Spirit is precious but if there is no example in the Word, then it is easy to substitute our fallible thoughts and unfounded feelings for the Spirit’s leading drifting into error without realising it…God cannot lead a man one way in Acts and another way today” – The Normal Christian Church Life, […]
